Join us in celebrating Black Breastfeeding Week 2025, our theme was "Boots on the Ground, Rooted in Breastfeeding Success, Grounded in Community Support." With over 120 registered attendees and 80 participants at the, we created a vibrant community atmosphere featuring local vendors and small businesses. Attendees enjoyed more than 60 donated items for raffles and giveaways, Carmen Bridgewater, Samantha Tollison, and ARBetts Studios expertly captured the essence of the day. Our inspiring fireside chat with Kalvin Bridgewater equipped partners with practical tips, and we can't wait to do it all again next year!

Black Breastfeding Week 2024
This year’s theme, Listen Up, was all about amplifying voices and experiences in our community.
Co-hosted by Andrea Carter of It Takes a Village, we brought together a powerful panel of speakers, a photographer capturing beautiful moments, delicious food, and uplifting conversations. It was a day to celebrate, learn, and continue building a supportive space for Black families on their breastfeeding journeys.

Together, we strengthened our community and honored the power of our collective voices!

World Breastfeeding Week 2024
In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, we hosted a free breastfeeding class designed to empower and support new and expecting parents. The class covered essential tips for a successful breastfeeding journey, including latch techniques, milk supply tips, and navigating common challenges. Participants left feeling confident and equipped with the knowledge to reach their breastfeeding goals, all while building a supportive community.
