1. When are you open?
We’re here for you:

• Weekdays: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Saturdays: We rest and recharge!

• Sundays: We rest and recharge!

After office hours, we encourage you to leave us a voicemail, send an email, or text us. Rest assured, we'll promptly get back to you as soon as our office reopens. Your needs are important to us, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

2. What services do you offer?
At The Breast Choice Lactation, our vision is to heal our community through breastfeeding, one family at a time. We offer a wide range of services to support you on this journey:

• Personal Lactation Consults: One-on-one sessions to tackle any breastfeeding hiccups.

• Group Hangouts: Join our workshops and learn alongside other awesome parents.

• Virtual Visits: Can’t make it in? No problem—get support from your couch.

• Prenatal Prep: Get ahead of the game with our breastfeeding classes before your baby arrives.

• Postpartum Care: We stick around to help you navigate those early days with your baby.

3. How do I book an appointment?
Booking with us is a breeze—just follow these three simple steps:

1. Check Availability: Head to our scheduler website and find a time that suits you.

2. Check Insurance: We are partnered with The Lactation Network and are in-network with United Health Care and Cigna.  For additional information see the INSURANCE section.

3. Complete Forms: Fill out a few quick forms, and you’re all set. We’ll handle the rest and make sure you get the support you need.

4. What happens during a lactation consultation?
Here’s what you can expect:

• We’ll chat about your health and any questions you’ve got.

• We’ll take a close look at your baby’s feeding and overall well-being.

• We’ll guide you hands-off, so you feel confident and in control.

• You’ll walk away with a personalized game plan that works for you and your baby.

5. Do you offer virtual consultations?
Absolutely! Whether you’re at home, at work, or anywhere in between, our virtual consultations give you the same great support without the commute.

6. How can I pay?
We’ve got plenty of payment options: credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA, and some insurance plans. We’re in-network with UHC and Cigna, so if you’re covered by them, you’re all set. Plus, we’re partnered with The Lactation Network, which helps make our services even more accessible. If you need a little extra help, please let us know.

7. Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Life happens! Just let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment, and we’ll happily reschedule or cancel it for you.

8. What should I bring to my appointment?
Here’s what you’ll need:

• Any health records that might be relevant.

• Your little one (of course!).

• Your breast pump if applicable

• And any questions or concerns—we’re all ears and here to help.

9. Where are you located?
We have two convenient locations:

• DeSoto Office: 1472 N Hampton Rd, Suite 100-B, DeSoto, TX 75115 (we’re here every Wednesday).

• Fort Worth Office: 617 Travis St., Fort Worth, TX (you’ll find us here most Fridays inside of the Fort Worth Birth Center).

​10. Do you offer home visits?​
Yes on Thursdays,  we offer home visits and service a 25-mile radius of Desoto, TX, and render service to Dallas, Ellis, and Tarrant County.  An applicable convenience fee will be incurred for all home visits. For more information, please see our RATES. If you reside more than 35 miles from Desoto, TX, a virtual visit may be offered, as well as a list of other amazing lactation consultants in Dallas-Ft. Worth.
