"The Breast Start" Prenatal Breastfeeding classes encompass education from bump to birth! We will review the benefits of breastfeeding, anatomy of the breast, what to expect the first two weeks, establishing milk supply, hand expression, latching and positioning, signs of a good feeding, common breastfeeding challenges, navigating returning to work, breastpump 101, storage of breastmilk, paced bottle feeding, and some frequently asked questions. We offer in person breastfeeding as well as virtual breastfeeding classes.
If you have known issues such as Breast Reduction, Breast Implants, thyroid issue, Type 1/2 Diabetes, Insufficient Glandular Breast Tissue, or PCOS, you may benefit from a one on one prenatal breastfeeding session to get you off to the best start and maximize your supply.
