We accept most major insurance plans, and we are here to guide you through the verification and eligibility process. Please note that copays and deductibles may apply. If you have an HMO plan, you will need to obtain a referral from your PCP and pediatrician prior to booking a session. Our team is happy to walk you through this process and help you get the care you need.

We provide professional and compassionate lactation support to new mothers seeking assistance with breastfeeding. While we do not offer home visits to BCBS members (not using The Lactation Network) at this time, we are available for office visits. Our lactation consultants are dedicated to providing individualized solutions to your breastfeeding concerns and guiding you every step of the way.

Q: What is The Lactation Network?
A: The Lactation Network works with insurance providers to deliver in-home, in-office, or telehealth consultations.  The Lactation network utilizes insurance benefits with Cigna PPO, BCBS  PPO, Humana  PPO,  PNOA & and Multicare logo plans. The Lactation Network bridges the gap to connect private practice IBCLC to families in need of lactation support. Some BCBS PPO plans are approved via  The Lactation Network which works differently than having your claim filed directly by our biller. 

Q: How is the insurance process handled with The Breast Choice Lactation Services LLC?
A: The Breast Choice Lactation Services LLC is in-network with a UHC and BCBS TX
PPO/HMO plans. If you have an HMO plan a referral is needed from your PCP/OB/Midwife and pediatrician. 

1.  Verification: Check if your policy covers lactation services. This involves contacting the insurance company to confirm coverage, limitations, and requirements (may be subject to deductibles/copays)
2. Claim submission: The Breast Choice Lactation will submit a claim to the insurance company, track the progress, and address any issues that may arise (see our payment policy)

Q; Do you have an office?
A: On Fridays, we work out of the Ft Worth Birth Center offering 1-hr sessions. 

Q: What if I do not have insurance?
A: No problem! We also accept HSA and credit card payments for those without insurance coverage.

Q: What areas does The Breast Choice service for home visits?
A: We service a 25-mile radius of Desoto, TX, and render service to Dallas, Ellis, and Tarrant County.  A $25 convenience fee will be incurred for all home visits outside this 25-mile radius. If you reside more than 35 miles from Desoto, TX, a virtual visit may be offered as well as a list of other amazing lactation consultants in the area.
